TYPO3 is “big” in Europe, specifically in Germany. Yet, even here the Drupal community is growing rapidly. With this growth increasingly clients are choosing Drupal. And there are several who wish to “migrate” from TYPO3 to Drupal.

Moving websites to Drupal from TYPO3 is a daunting task, specifically for large content-heavy websites with tons of pages, news, articles, photo galleries, and users.

This BoF is intended to share and learn about migrations from TYPO3 using the migrate and TYPO3_migrate modules.

Key points of discussion can be:

• Define the road-map for the TYPO3_migrate module.
• Identifying "key" TYPO3 plugins for which migration modules should be added.
• Discussing the key similarities and differences between the 2 CMSs.
• Common challenges likely to be faced during such a migration; and how to handle them.
