About Munich

Munich likes Drupal

From book to blog - with over 20.000 local media agencies and nearly 100.000 workers in media, journalism and advertising, Munich is one of the top media and IT locations, as well as a Drupal business epicenter in Germany. The Bavarian capitol generates a third of the overall German business volume in these fields. But that’s not all there is to know about Munich.

“The city with heart”, as it is often referred to, is also home of the world famous beer festival “Oktoberfest”. In Munich, you can chill out in beer gardens, explore more than 40 theatres and over 60 museums, galleries and art collections, or go for a hike in the nearby alps. Given the spectrum of cultural and recreational activities, it’s no wonder people are rumouring that Druplicon is often seen in and around Munich.

If you like Drupal, and if you want to experience the much quoted Bavarian “Gemütlichkeit” (coziness) yourself, you should join DrupalCon Munich 2012!
